This book was outside of my comfort zone, but I ended up really liking it. Although the writing wasn't very deep and felt more like listening to a friend tell a story, the book did explore some pretty heavy themes and in a very tasteful manner. Overall I really enjoyed this story and the little touch of romance as well. And that cover! Come on! Stunning!

⭐⭐⭐Enjoyed, would recommend

I liked this book and would suggest it to others.
It's my first time reading a book by Kyla Zhao, and I found it enjoyable. The plot intrigued me, especially Zoe Zeng's journey from being a writer in New York to becoming a Vice President of Marketing for a startup in LA.
I have to start by praising the cover – it's stunning! It got me really excited to start reading.
The story itself was interesting and offered a glimpse into corporate life in Silicon Valley. However, it didn't quite transport me into another world like some books do. Instead, it felt more like listening to a coworker talk about their work life.

Couldn’t get past the absolutely illogical opening scene. Reads like Wattpad fictiln
