I feel like I really enjoyed this book because I grew up watching the movie my entire life. It was really interesting seeing the written version go more in depth and sort of answer certain questions I initially had about the story. Although I'm not sure if it's because of the translation or if it's just the authors writing style but the sentences felt sort of short? I'm not sure if it's just a personal thing but at first it was kind of hard to follow along. I fear if I didn't already have such a deep love for the story I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much as I did because of the writing I mentioned but that's just personal. I still feel it is a fun story to read tho!

This book captivated me, even though it is quite short. The protagonist's character, in my opinion, needed more development and more reason to
love Miss. Acacia since they literally met when they were 11 pithily, and I also feel they could have developed on the character of Madeline and her background and if so did that lead to her lying to Jack about his heart
I also think that a conversation could have easily resolved the conflict but Jacks impulsivity or whatever it did not let that happen so that could have been expanded on more which really would have been more evident if we knew more about Jack other than
his love for Acacia which perhaps really was obsession at this point
. The thing I love about this book is that the concept and the idea are so interesting original, captivating, and creative it just hooked me. Also, if someone is looking for a sad ending or an ending that lets you come up with your interpretation of what happened next, this would be really good.
