Home to the Outback by Nicole Flockton is the first book in the Welcome to Bunya Junction series. This is a really enjoyable story that I found myself easily swept up in. I really loved the characters in this book. They felt so real right from the word go, probably because you could see that they each had flaws.
This author really does know how to create easy reading, romance stories that are worth every minute of your time. I always love to sit down with one of her books, this one being no exception. A great story yet again and one I would definitely recommend.

Who is Ryan? What is his profession? Who is Toby? How does Ryan know him? Who is Portia and what has she done? Who is Colin? Who is Sindy and why is she calling Ryan about Colin? At only 12% of the way into the story, I was not-pretty-crying. By 23% of the way into the story, even with tears threatening stillm I think I am getting the reason behind the title. The ribbing between Sindy and Ryan about the white box's contents had me giggling. The ups and downs between Sindy and Ryan made my heart ache a bit. When they go out to dinner after a rough week, what happens? What do we learn about Sindy and her ex, Mario? What plans had Ryan been thinking about that he told Sindy? How did she take it? Read and see what happens!!!

“Home to the Outback” was a fantastic read. Sindy Carruthers and Ryan Flanagan had an undeniable chemistry on-page, and the story was stunningly well-crafted. Even the background characters were written well. I enjoyed every word that I read, from the beginning event to the sweetest ending. Finishing the book left me with the desire to read the next (and as many as Nicole Flockton writes in the future). I truly recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet, easy yet engaging read.

Small town. Homecoming. Two unexpected business partners. Sounds like a great story ahead.
After a death from the life he left behind in is small home town. Dr. Ryan Flanagan decides to pay his respects. In turn he finds out he has inherited half of the small towns loved doctor. The other half went to the doctors nurse. Which happened to be his best friends twin sister!!
With those details I don’t know what’s stopping you from picking up this book?
This story was so good from start to finish. Well written and I couldn’t wait to turn the page!

What a wonderful way to start a new series, I was engrossed in Ryan and Sindy’s story from the very beginning, I just simply couldn’t put it down. These characters will pull you straight into their emotions, and just simply make your heart melt. Our author has given us so much in this wonderful story from heartbreak, chemistry, and hopefully a second chance. While this is the first book in the series I personally can’t wait for the author to give us more. Her writing is unique and original and trust me when I say that she’ll have you hooked from the very first page.

Sindy Carruthers is a busy nurse working for Dr. Colin McCarthy when he faces an untimely death. Unsure of how to go about running the practice, Sindy is a world of hurt. She's lost her confidant and her boss. She made a call to Dr. Ryan Flanigan to let him know about Dr. Colin's accident and asked him to be there. Dr. Ryan was able to say his goodbyes to Dr. Colin. Then came the kicker....when the will was read, Dr. Ryan had a huge decision to make. Should he leave his life behind in the city to take over the practice of his mentor? He was a well-known plastic surgeon after all. What did he know about general medicine?
It doesn't take long for sparks to fly between Dr. Ryan and nurse Sindy, but are they the right kind of sparks? Did Dr. Colin know what he was actually doing when he willed that they should run the practice together? I'd like to think that he did!
I really enjoyed this story for several reasons. It was set in Australia (I hope to visit one day), involved a doctor and a nurse, as well as a love connection. I recommend this book as well as the others in this series! I will be looking for more books by this new-to-me author to read!

Oh my goodness where do I start !? This is like Virgin River meets Heart of Dixie in Outback ! I know it’s quite a mouthful but man these people fill my heart and all I want to do is pack my bags and head out to Bunya Junction ❣️🥰
So Riley is a successful plastic surgeon but he has a big heart and wants to give back but his partner isn’t on board and soon there’s trouble in paradise and Riley sells up and is looking at other avenues to practice but as luck would have it life always has other plans …..
Colin , the man who basically raises Ryan is an accident and is asking for him so he heads out to Bunya and life as he knows it is about to change for the better that is …..
Sindy left the city after a terrible heartbreak and some serious trauma and where do you go when you’re hurting ? You go home and Bunya Junction is home , her brothers are there , her support system is there …..
Colin and Sindy are thrown into a business venture thanks to Colin but it’s also a venture of the heart and man what a beautiful thing it was to watch and I count myself sooooooo lucky to have been a part of this town and it’s people ❣️
I’m so grateful that despite their haded views of people these 2 beautiful souls took a chance on each other ❣️
I can’t wait to head back and see what is in store for Jonas and the runaway bride 😂😉

This is a lovely romance novel that not only touches your soul but steals your heart along the way. Everyone leaves home at one time or another, most vowing to never head back. However, Ryan must return to his old hometown to pay respects for not only his mentor but the man who took him in. Finding out then that he left half of his practice to him. With Ryan;s life seeming to implode in Sydney maybe a fresh start is exactly what he needs.
The other half of Colin’s practice has been left to nurse Sindy Carruthers who is Ryan’s best friend's sister. Sindy is sure that with Ryan’s success that there is no way he will stay in Bunya Junction. However, Ryan may have other plans, now that nothing is holding him in Sydney. Can they take a chance on love and find their happily ever after? Or will owning this clinic tear them farther apart? This is a story for the romantics at heart, those that have always thought of the what ifs. And just what could happen when the puzzle pieces of fate fall into place!

Sweet romance
What an introduction to the town of Bunya Junction. I really loved meeting the locals and following Sindy and Ryan’s journey. The setting is awesome being from Australia myself, and it felt like I was there. This was a very sweet but mature romance which had its fair share of drama and misconceptions. The writing is easy to read and the story draws you in. Absolutely brilliant series starter.
