I haven’t read the Throne of Glass series yet, so I can’t say if this is a rip-off as I’ve read multiple times on the internet. I had fun reading Trial of the Sun Queen. It reminded me of The Selection by Kiera Cass, just with older contestants, more blood, more intrigues, more murder, death, and violence. Perhaps a splash of The Hunger Games could be found in there as well. I’m excited to read the other books!

3.5 stars.

It was a fun book. pretty predictable (unfortunately), a fmc with a decent personality, and enough action to keep me entertained. it's not the pinnacle of perfection, but I enjoyed it well enough.

Ab der hälfte des Buches hab ich geahnt wohin es führt. Die Fassade ging länger und der Ausbruch war gut. Bin gespannt auf den 2. Teil. Erinnert mich ein wenig an ACOTAR
