Beautiful book! It was heartfelt and sad, but also managed to be hopeful. I love a good story about sisters, this is no exception, the loss of the little sister was really hard to read - def cried a handful of times. Also captured young first love really beautifully. Probably one of my favorite books so far this year!

I opened this book somewhat blind with no expectations, and so, so happy I did. Not the type of story I would reach for first, but maybe that changes.

Historical fiction set in 1940 and 1960 England during the blitz. This was an absolutely wonderful, and at times, enchanting story of a woman who refuses to give up on the search for her lost sister, and herself.

I had a small issue with pacing midway through, but it in no way impacted how much I loved this book.

I really wanted to love this. The reviews are coming in so high. I’m not sure what didn’t resonate with me. The dual timelines definitely didn’t help. The premise was intriguing but I found myself not emotionally attached to any of the characters.
