Here are some of my thoughts:

- it took too long for the romance to pick up. I get that the goal was to explore the MC and their relationship and make it as seamless as possible, but it wasn't until halfway that some things happened.

- I'm very indecisive on whether I liked this or Boyfriend Material best. Obviously BM has a 5 star rating and this a 4 star which is more related with vibes and overall impact: BM took me by surprise while for this one I had expectations, I love the fake-dating trope while "faking amnesia" is a bit forced as a plot for my liking and this one is slower-paced.
However, as per characters, I think I liked Sam better than Luc on the basis that he is not as mean and selfish, and I kind of relate more to him. But Oliver is ten times better than Jonathan, sorry not sorry. Which is not to say I didn't like Jonathan because I did, and I loved discovering his inner depths and insecurities and sensitive soul, but he was too much of a dick to his workers and family and you know that saying that goes "If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals" [by famous philosopher sirius black] (even if the family is an equal).

- the ending feels abrupt? i liked it, and knowing there's a part two makes it not feel as rushed, but man, I wanted a bit more of domestic bliss, to see Sam build up his confidence and his business.
Also to know why Jonathan hired Sam in the first place!!! We got this in the synopsis "Jonathan Forest should never have hired Sam. It was a sentimental decision, and Jonathan didn't get where he is by following his heart" ... what does it mean? did he have a crush? he just thought sam was cute? did he like The Lord of the Rings?
