I wanted to like this SO much, but when it feels like the first person narrator barely likes someone as a person, much less a potential love interest, it’s hard to get invested in the alleged romance. Also, so many pacing issues.

I loved it! It was hilarious, cute and even sad at some moments.
I am an impatient person so eventually i had to push through cause it took long before something happened

this was the funniest thing i read in a while. how can a scene of two people in a supermarket be that funny?
i'm usually not a fan of third-part break ups, but this one was a) justified and b) resolved very shortly.

the audio book narration was fantastic! (thinks i, a non-scouse english-is-not-my-first-language person. if his scouce accent is actually really terrible, i'm sorry for recommending it.)

One of the very few romantic comedies I've read that were actually funny.

A very sweet book with great characters—particularly Jonathan’s family. I really enjoyed the bit we get to see with Les, and of course, gollum is great. I did feel like we didn’t get enough of Sam, interestingly, considering the novel in his POV. So I didn’t love it with the fervor that I LOVE boyfriend material and rosaline Palmer—but I did enjoy it a lot.

Narrator of audio hard to understand due to accent. Will come back and physically read
