The loose ends were tied up. I really liked it. Every book ends on a cliffhanger, making you want more. On to Rebel's story.

I don’t know what to say, I ate this series up in 4 days. was it good, no. was it good, also yes. this shit was UNHINGED. period. but I will say I do enjoy my smut with a side of suspense. War and Scythe (lolz those names) really caught me off guard, but damn

The series gets 3 stars from me mostly for entertainment, spice, and Vincent/Scythe who was the most interesting character in the books.

The plot had potential. I was hooked within the first 20% of the first book, but then instead of the plot developing, character growth, etc, we mostly just got a hodge podge of random plot points that were thrown out, forgotten about, and then all came together with a little bow at the end. Her brother's death? Forgot about for over half the series. Her ex fiancée? Literally no conclusion and somehow is getting drawn into the next series? War's MC? Here and there but never fully addressed and figured out. So many things just brought up and then nothing done with it!

Vincent/Scythe's character also felt like he got the shaft. Well Vincent specifically. He wasn't present for basically the entire second book. And then I feel like was only partially around for the third, of which the characters spent half the time wishing it was Scythe. I felt so bad for him. Even the bonus chapter!!! He just bounced. The concept of DID and within a why choose was so interesting and different, especially with one of the personalities also interested in men, but it just fell flat and didn't feel like it fully did the character justice.

Bliss was such a meh FMC. She had potential and at times I felt like she was finally growing balls and a backbone, only for her to fizzle out and make dumb after dumb decision. Blegh.

But, all that said, I still read the entire series and I still enjoyed it. The spice was superb. And for a why choose where the MMCs were not previously established, it actually formed well and not cringe or gross.

This series had its ups and downs, but for the most part, I liked it. There were a lot of twists and turns in this book that made me start to feel like Thorpe just wanted to sensationalize everything to the millionth degree. Who the killers with. The awful epilogue with Rebel. I'm glad Vincent/Scythe seemed to come to an agreement because Scythe was my favorite. I love those irreverent psychopaths for some crazy reason.

Was not in a hurry to finish. Put it down for a few days and came back to it. This could have been wrapped up in the second book. Won’t be reading the next trilogy. I was relieved to be done with this one but had to know what happened.
