Another enjoyable read in a series I am liking more and more. I think I liked the first book a little more but still I enjoyed this story fun and enjoyable. While I really liked Rachel in this book, I wasn't a huge fan of Etienne, whom i had liked in the first book, as much during this story as he i felt he did some things that made Rachel's transition harder than it needed to be. It also took me a while to warm to their chemistry. That being said though the story line flowed well and kept me entertained the whole way through and i know this is a series i will be continuing on with.

I'll say this, you know what you're getting into when you read these books. Are they literature? No. Are they sexy and entertaining? Absolutely. Will I continue to listen to them in audiobook form because I'm slightly embarrassed reading them where people could see the front cover? For sure. I will say, as the series progresses, her storytelling gets better and she's making me actually curious about the other characters. So there's that. Other than that, it's a vampire romance.

Etienne's story. An unbalanced human has realized Etienne is a vampire and keeps trying to kill him. When the coroner saves his life Etienne feels obligated to turn her. Then as sparks fly he keeps finding excuses to keep her with him.

There was nothing wrong with this book, it just didn't really catch me. The plot was fine. A bit long for my taste.

Fun, light and enjoyable.

I like Etienne and Rachel-- I very much enjoy stories with 2 pig-headed protagonists. It always makes it more fun to see when/if they figure themselves out.

I love reading these between much heavier books because you are just along for the ride and Ms. Sands doesn't ask you to do any hard thinking-- just let her tell the story.

A light paranormal romcom, it is a quick and fun read.

This reminded me of the paranormal romances I read when I first started getting into the genre. It’s wacky sure but it’s also fun & sexy!

This is a vampire romance between 300 year old Etienne and newly turned vampire Rachel. I found their dynamic to be funny and cute. The characters were believable and entertaining. I thought the romance was well paced, steamy and romantic.

These two were so hot for each other I was practically screaming do it already

This book had me howling with laughter. It reminded me of your cheesy vampire romance b rated movie. I gave it a 4/5 stars because it made me laugh. there is a part in there that is a little uncomfortable that the other reviewers have wrote about it but it’s something new and creative because who wants the same material over and over.
