The kids in my D&D camp loved this as a reference and resource to read out loud! This book was a reward for good behavior and helped motivate kids to pick up their stations so we could all read together, it was great! Bright and colorful images of classic monsters. It was fun to look up monsters then aim to have our characters face them in game. Would buy for a kid, not worth it to have as an adult resource IMO, as there are no actual stat blocks so is not truly useful beyond pictures and short stories.
