I wanted something on the lighter side and this perfectly fit the bill. I enjoyed this a lot - it's a nice book with some funny moments and good messages. The format could have been too cutesy, but I liked it and thought that was well-done.

Very cute middle-grade about moving to a new city and learning to be yourself. Although the story is told through lists, it still conveys character and plot while being thoroughly enjoyable.

I LOVED this book! Annie’s Life in Lists is a uniquely written, sweet portrayal of a young girl finding her voice and loving it. With an endearing protagonist, this book tackles coping with a move, handling the evolution of friendships, and finding home in a new place. I’m officially a Kristin Mahoney fan and can’t wait to read her next middle-grade novel. In honor of Annie’s love for lists, it’s only right that my favorite things about this book be in list format. This is a feel-good middle grade book written entirely in lists, about a girl and her family who move from NYC to a small town. Worth picking up, but middle grade tends to be either "hug it to your chest" wonderful or rather meh for me, and this was closer to the latter.

This story is written by a girl with a great memory. She has to move to a new place and leaves her best friend behind. The story is told through the list she makes as she works out the feelings in her head. It’s a fun read for young kids.
