One of the better recent In Death novels. No grand conspiracies, no huge murder sprees, although of course there's a serial killer and it's more complicated than it looks at first. No major developments for any of the through-line characters, sadly, and we don't even get to see Mavis. There is a cute interlude with Mr Mira.
Good, solid, a fairly average In Death book, though better than most of the recent ones. Some shades of earlier books, but I suppose that's inevitable with a series this long. Still, I wish the characters would comment more in the similarities.
