I always appreciate the books in this series. In this one a golden egg is used as a murder weapon. Once Eve Dallas has made the connection between the two murders vents start to speed up, with the resolution coming about quite simply and cleanly.
Some lovely moments between Eve and Roarke, good teamwork by Eve and Peabody and the rest of the NYPSD involved.

Moderate: Death and Murder
Minor: Drug use

There were neither tension nor intrigue, and I lost interest in the murder mystery when I realised the main character is supposed to be so perfect that she's always right at judging people, even if she's just interacted with them for 10min. So boring, because we're left reading about her moving around town talking to people until she has a conversation with X and she just knows they're the killer.
For some reason there are a lot of descriptions of the decoration and furniture, even though they had no relevance at all (I honestly think if you took them out the book would be 100 pages shorter).
Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a good murder mystery.
