I loved this book and Emma, Chris, Liam, William, Alex and Bash. There’s action, slow burn, drama and secrets. Make sure you check the trigger warnings before you read. It does end on a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to read book 2.

“In this new world, even safety brought pain.”

“Shadows and Saviors,” by Lexi Ostrow

In a post-apocalyptic world, humans are fighting to stay alive. Safe havens exist to bring women who can bear children and save the human race. Emma’s father has died, and her hope of survival is diminishing, causing her to try to reach out to get help to a safe haven. Chris, Bash, Liam, Alex, and William all come to her aid to bring her to safety and solidify a place for them in the safe haven as well.

I loved this book so much. So many tropes I adore; reverse harem, dystopian, and forced proximity. All the characters were interesting, and I loved how they interacted with each other. The relationship aspect was not overly fast but also not too slow. Even though the story plot was important and a driving force there was still a large amount of time that was mostly character related and driven, it was such a good balance. This is definitely a book I will reread many times. 5 out of 5 stars, perfect.
