I love this picture book series. I love reading short biographies about people through out history and current times. I think it was great learning about Patrick Mahomes. I think he sounds like a great football player and person all round.

Thank you so much to NetGalley, Quarto Publishing and the author for providing me with an advanced reader copy fo review purposes!
I have a little nephew, so naturally, I'm on a quest to find interesting books to gift him. I've been looking at the Little people, Big dreams series for a while now, so I'm happy I got the opportunity to review a few of them.
This a short biography of Patrick Mahomes, quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs and NFL golden boy. It covers all the bases of his journey, and it offers interesting facts.
If you have a kid in your family that enjoys football, or is a sports enthusiast, this would make a great gift. Little people, big dreams never disappoints!

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: I love this series by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara. She does a great job distilling people's lives into messages easily digestible by young readers while making them interesting for older readers, too. I also love the breadth of who she covers in her series.
This one on Patrick Mahomes does a great job of outlining how he became such a great, well-known quarterback. It is pretty surface-level for those who really love sports. It doesn't dive too deeply into his stats or specific accomplishments, but it is a great primer for those who may not know about him or know much about him. It mostly focuses on his athletic accomplishments. For fans of the series, they will enjoy this one. For people less familiar, the books do a great job informing readers about a variety of people.
Pages: 32
Reading age: 4-7 years of age.

I really like these Little People, Big Dreams books and this one is no exception. They make the stories of important/known people very accessible for kids and they are always beautifully illustrated. Patrick Mahomes definitely is a newer addition to the "great people", but I believe his story can influence and also inspire little kids to follow their dreams. Really enjoyed this!
