Miles doing his auditor thing! I got a little lost in the details of the plot, but this was a fun one, and shows Miles settling into his auditor role, even in a skeptical place like Komarr.

Bila bi čista petica da je omjer radnje bio više u korist slučaja koji je Milesa doveo na Komarr, ovako je knjiga imala više vibru filler epizode.

A little military, a little mystery, and a little romance, as Miles goes along on his first major investigation for his new job...which goes as smoothy as one would expect. As fun as always, with the usual cadre of complex and believable well-rounded characters.

This was a fun mystery, and I liked the back and forth chapter narration between Miles and Ekaterin. I'm hopeful that Ekaterin will continue to be a major character in the next book. While I am still enjoying the audio narration by Grover Gardner overall, in this book (and some of the past few) his pronunciation of certain names has changed. This time it was Duv Galeni, who, fortunately, only gets a few mentions, so it wasn't a big deal. I think I've finally come to accept the new pronunciation of Dendarii, as it has lasted a few books now.

I was looking through the list of Vorkosigan books - as one does - and realized that I had never logged/rated this one. I was actually not sure if I’d failed to note it down, or somehow missed the book entirely. Only one thing to do…..
Having now read it, I’m pretty sure I had read it before (a couple scenes felt very familiar when I got to them), but of course I kept going. This one is, as all the Vorkosigan books are, delightful. Especially Ekaterin’s scenes, and the chance to see Miles through her eyes.
