My Thoughts:
I liked the new people coming to start trouble. It gives the series a new information about the past from some very well know characters as Amelie and Oliver. Plus Mr.Bishop sounds like pure evil, and some changes made this series a lot more action than the first books.
Claire as always end up right in the middle of the problem and also has to deal with doing what it’s told and not get in between. Of course that doesn’t happen because we all she will research and try to save as many people as possible.
I liked the why Amelie acted on this book, because confronting was definily not the answer and as she tried to understand and work toward a strategy to save her town, she had to let everyone think peace was her call.
Myrnin continues his research and try to save the vampires from the strange disease, plus getting little Claire in trouble. Also Claire’s parents decided to move in to Morganville and discovered all about the city secrets.
I loved this book, and from all the series so far this was the most fast and action happened from beginning to end. My favorite.

When it comes to Morganville Vampires...
But seriously guys, let's just talk Morganville!
As it it the fourth book of the series I surely already know the main gang: Claire, Eve, Shane and Michael and well how could I ever forget our ice lady Amelie and sneaky Oliver. So as most expected the author does not really waste much time introducing the characters or the town as much as it is common in series, which, in my opinion is great. I personally very much dislike hearing same background story of main characters in every book of the series and therefore, Rachel Cane here definitely rocks by skipping it!
TIC TAC TIC TAC, juuuup we again have a misfortune in this book where Claire has to dig her head out of the mortal trouble and save her friends. I know, it does not sound unique or anything out of ordinary, and you, my reader, are very right to think that. But that is I think the main point of this series, you do not get much of the NEW BOOM, the story is already so twisted and drowned into so many secrets it is just perfect! I do not want to spoil much of the story as some of you may have never read Morganville Vampires, but it is just something I can easily imagine little Claire getting herself into!

A good read for thr first two thirds, then the pacing was all off and became very confusing. I guess the good guys won?

Really glad I have this whole series, because I'd be so annoyed with the continual cliff hangers in these if I had read them when they were first published. Other than that the story gets more and more layered. The series is reminding me of the Vampire Diaries tv, its the same sort of story layering.

A great read with lots of twists, humour and plotting. Amelie's father comes to town, wanting to take over but he's bought a snag - Claire's parents! With myrnin insane and no cure in sight for the vampires can Claire and her friends fix everything? Almost....big cliffhanger at the end! :)

I did not finish this book. I was really bored and not at all interested in the story.
