This book had me in tears constantly. I appreciated how the "main event's was not the epicenter of the entire story, rather a foundation. I also enjoyed the flashbacks whenever Elsie was faced with a new obstacle. I loved her as a character and I felt close to her. Reid really pulled on heartstrings and hyperfocused on the deep, difficult emotions of her characters in this story.

I'd recommend this book to those who enjoy Reid's writing style, but say stay away if you're dealing with grief/loss of a loved one.

Taylor Jenkins Reid has contributed to the genre of romance in peculiar and unconventional ways, giving emphasis to self development and growth amongst the characters that the readers enjoy finding solace in.

Forever, Interrupted captures the essence of young love and the loss that follows along, complicated human relationships and surfacing emotional tensions that are seen to be handled realistically in adversity.

From the first-person POV with a non-linear timeline that skips back and forth in time, the novel has perfectly shapes the narration in terms of ease of reading and having a personal connection with the characters.

A compelling storyline for a debut novel!

The first book in a long time that I just couldnā€˜t put down. I had to read it in a day and I was close to tears basically the whole time. As always, Taylor Jenkins Reid has this way of portraying characters and their relationships in such a realistic way that you cannot help but feel with them. With this books she shows how complex grieve can be and how it influences the relationships with the people still living.
