Fantastic! Kimberly Derting is one of the few authors that is strong at both plot and character development. Her books have it all and as an aspiring writer, I am very inspired and impressed.

Ooh, I loved it! Desires of the Dead, for whatever reason, reminded me of [b:When Lightning Strikes|207682|When Lightning Strikes (1-800-Where-R-You, #1)|Meg Cabot|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1256059609s/207682.jpg|2029454] (If you've read them both, you'll know what I mean.) But not so much where I felt like I was just re-reading it.

I can't wait to see what happens in the next book, especially where Rafe is concerned.

nooow we are talking. this installment of the series shows what it came for, the relatioships deepens, and so do the heroine which shows what she is made of, besides there is the new mysterious guy which i just can resist too. great book.

This sequel is FANTASTIC!! Kimberly Derting did an amazing job in her follow up book to the Body Finder. I was afraid that like many sequels the story would be the same with different characters, and I am glad to say that I was wrong! She took this book in an unexpected and excellant journey. There is some twists that I did not see coming. And of course the love between Violet and Jay was there and it was as if I was living the story with them! Great, Great sequel!

Loved it from beginning to end. Jay and Violet's relationship is 95% of the reason I keep reading this series! Simple, quick read. I was sad to see Mike leave at the end, but Derting did a good job at wrapping up the novel, but making me want more hence I will be reading the next book!

Still loving this series and thrilled to report it didn't fall victim to the dreaded "second book slump"!  Still loving the characters and the intrigue. The addition of some new characters raised the stakes for our main character, Violet.  I am a bit concerned that it may be setting up for a love triangle in book 3.  If it is, hopefully it will be handled well.  Highly looking forward to continuing on with this series.

If you liked Good Girl's Guide to Murder, you'll probably enjoy this older series as well!

(keeping this brief and vague since it's part 2 in a series)

Suspenseful and intriguing

Great second book to follow body finder. Already downloaded the third and can't wait to read more. Second book keeps you trying to guess what will happen next and what Violet will get herself Into.

A better-than-the-first sequel, with a good amount of suspense and mystery. I like where this story is headed!
