Omg I thought I loved Kincaid until I read Kid.

At first I thought I would hate the whole age gap and having to wait until Khloe turned 18 but it was actually really cute. Kid and Khloes "friendship" was so realistic and not your typical alpha male insta love relationship. I was beginning to think everything was going a bit too easily until Kid got injured and lost his memory, not gonna lie I think this broke my heart right along with Khloe. Loved getting to see some more of Emmalyn and Kincaid.

My only problem was I read it far too quickly and now it's over, can't wait for book 3

The book was absolutely unputdownable! The characters captivated me with their familial interactions, creating a tapestry of relationships that felt incredibly real. The chemistry between Kid and Khloe was palpable, a fiery intensity that survived even the most heart-wrenching trials on their journey to a happily ever after. Marie's talent shines through every page; her storytelling and stylistic flair make her narratives a joy to read. Eagerly anticipating her next work!

DNFd after Kid found her naked in her bed. She was 17 and Kid refused to touch her until she was 18 but she had absolutely no respect for his decision and actively tried to convince him to fk her as a minor!!! What?!

This book was ok. Kid was 6 or 7 years older than Khloe. I wasn't feeling that relationship. I didn't have a problem with their ages. Considering how Khloe had to navigate foster care, most of the time she seemed more mature than a 17 or 18 yo.

I did get sick of the constant conversation about the age difference. Then I was irritated by the reaction people had to Kid's behavior after Las Vegas. I did not understand how anyone could blame him for what he did.

I waa very surprised that no one seemed to think a good therapist might have been what Khloe needed. It was not mentioned ONE time that based on her past losses, her foster care experience, losing her best friend, etc. that she might benefit from some counseling. Unbelievable!

Other than that, this book was pretty similar to the first book. Khloe just had a different issue to contend with than Em. It was still a case of a woman with no family, no money, and no where to go.

This was pretty bad. Khloe was really weak and kind of useless. I don’t blame Alec’s parents for feeling the way they did about her. Kid was pretty boring. I felt zero relationship building between Khloe and Kid. I do not recommend.
