I favor the recipes that use products that are common, or at least commonly used in all the other receipts. Things that are easy to have on hand help with the whole "let's not be wasteful".

So, I've made a facial scrub that was okay, and a mint/vinegar hair rinse that was also okay. I'm hoping to do a program at the library on diy beauty products. I just wanted to try out a few first to make sure I don't break out into a terrible rash. It's already been helpful- I learned not to pour vinegar in your eyes because it burns really bad. Who would've thought?

This was a good diy home beauty book. Not many of the recipes call for unreasonable or hard-to-obtain ingredients. I recommend it.

Okay, normally I am not into the sort of stuff that is in this book. But I have to say, not only are the bath things kinda awesome but so is the fact you can make these things yourself. And they are really easy to make and get the supplies for! I cannot wait to try the recipe for the bath cupcakes.
