JUST WHAT I NEEDED. smut + fluffs, i forgot how much i enjoyed reading m/m book. i live for cute gay ship! now, i need to find myself someone like fee – nerdy but hot af (which i think pretty ironic since i don’t think i can find it within my circle but pray for ya boi)

3/5⭐️

I loved this book. A fun, lighthearted read. Great, loveable characters and a cute and hot love story.

Cuteness! :)

A light hearted fun read which I enjoyed.
Ash (the party boy) pursues Fee (the geek),  until he finally gets his date and we then follow their dating progress - its very slow, much to Ash's frustration.
The story dates the two as late 20's but they read more like late teens/early twenties. And Fee sounds a right dish, a very confident, muscular geek!

I could kick myself that I didn't read this any earlier! I really enjoyed this, slightly left of centre, book. Nothing cookie cutter here, no characters cut from the same cloth. No, these two authors give us quirky, funny and different.

Ash and Fee are nearly polar opposites. And their beginnings are definitely not ideal (anyone say "stalkerish behaviour"??). This book is all about their ups and downs. Their differences and how they find that middle ground that they need to move forward together. I loved the snippets out of the "how-to" guide that Ash uses.

This story hit all the right spots for me. I can only hope that there is another book like it in the works...maybe Ty or Donovan deserve their own story?

I do like my geek Mc's especially in an M/M setting and I really liked the premise of the story. A hot cosplaying steampunk loving computer nerd meets a drifting slutty tattoo artist who's more than a little stalkerish at heart. The cover is cute and eye-catching too and gives me hope that more M/M authors will make a bit of an effort and entice a reader into choosing a particular book because of the cover and not despite it .
Unfortunately I had issues with the writing, its' repetitiveness and pacing. I just felt like the book needed a good solid scrubbing, trimming, polishing for it to reach its' true potential.

This is a fun, light story about a party boy, Ash, who falls for a really good-looking, nerdy guy (Fee) who appears to want nothing to do with him. Ash isn't about to give up, though, and he goes so far as to buy a manual - a guide to translating geek-speak and behavior, and figuring out how to approach the man of his dreams.

If you can overlook the improbability that Fee can be that hot and perfect physically, when he spends all his time in sedentary pursuits, and believe that he can attract Ash that hard and fast, then this is amusing. It's a bit slow to get off the ground, but a lot of fun. The best bits for me were actually the "guidebook" sections (since as the spouse of a geek they rang wonderfully true.)

I liked some of the setbacks (winced at and loved the awkward bookclub meeting), and the secondary characters. Ash begins as a bit stalkerish, and Fee as cold, but there is some nice progression and by the end I could believe they were building something lasting.

Sweet story but to much details and explaining for my liking. The writing wasn't strong enough for audio and I didn't like the tone of voice of the narration.

This book started a bit slow and a bit too cringey for my tastes, but I'm really glad I stuck with it because from about 25% onwards was really enjoyable. I felt really bad for Ash to begin with, and Fee seemed like a jerk, but after the first bit both characters seemed to become more of themselves and very likeable. The little misunderstandings were a bit irritating because I just wanted to bash their heads together! I also felt there was a loose end that wasn't sorted with Ty and his issues. But it was a fun read and I'm glad I read it!

Single handedly one of the best books ever under m/m romance.

Its filled with wonderful humour, cringe worthy moments, completely sweet lovingness and even the sex scenes (with which I'm not normally a fan of) are actually quite heartfelt.

One thing that bugged me a little bit though was the continuous use of excess minor characters. The names that aren't repetitious or supporting characters kinda threw me off a bit, especially when they were only there for like a moment or two then suddenly they're never heard of again.

And what absolutely drove me NUTS was that we never find out why Ty doesn't make up with Ash! Or why he was a bit of a bitch towards him in the first place! That annoyed me too, that the best friend just suddenly dropped Ash like hot iron. It was frustrating. I think it was one of those "read between the lines" things, but I was too busy wrapped up in what was happening with Ash and Fee to really give him more than a fleeting "you're a bit of a dick really" thought.

But, apart from that, bloody brilliant. I liked how Fee, whilst geeky, wasn't a complete and utter loser. Some people try write these stories and they just make the geeks too geeky or socially retarded. At least when Fee had a meltdown (inevitable. Some conflicts gotta happen to make the story.) his excuse was more than just Ash being a dick (his dad beat him up for finding a bloke he sees a future with. Not for being gay, oh no he's fine with that, its the finding a guy he's snotty about!) and in total this book was excellent.

Worth a read. It takes a moment to get into, what with having to fight past the initial Fee not being interested and Ash attempting to convince himself he's not actually stalking the guy. But as they get into the relationship everything is gooey and warm and the ending made me squeal through happy tears!

I get a bit emotionally invested in these things.

Read it! Its worth it!
