I really enjoyed this book, but also didn't find it as hopeful as it seemed to be sold to me as. I struggle with near future post apocalyptic books, likely due to my professional work, and often struggle to see them as positively as some are written/reviewed.

The idea behind the story is really nice, and it's generally themes I really enjoy, but the whole book was super awkwardly written.
A personal annoyance of mine is the use of a bunch of real corporations and an overuse of lefty organizing buzzwords when I'm not confident the author truly understood what some of them meant.

The world he creates and the society he describes are definitely interesting, and it's a fairly quick, easy read, but it was incredibly awkward.

It was nice to see a climate dystopia book about the after. I liked the cast, and the ending allows you to pick what happens next. I think for the climate crisis that was the right move, to leave it hopeful.
