Emotional book for me to read but well needed. I struggle with how to approach tough conversations regarding climate change and this book provided valuable insight for me.

I'm reading this book while being stuck in the space of not knowing what to do next about this whole thing. I've been active up until a few months ago in activism groups and projects. Now I am taking some time to figure it out and this book is an absolute gem in helping me refocus and see the psychologies behind talking about climate change which often feels so so difficult. Even now I haven't had it figured out but this book is a great and informative first step to doing so. I just have one small criticism which is that a lot of it still feels very focused on western countries but understandably, it seems like most research are around those countries. The author did put in a couple of examples from other countries in Asia and Africa but I feel like it would be super helpful to know more about how the various feelings manifest differently in different countries. This in itself though, is a great book with a great idea and is doing wonders for inspiring me to keep up with my activities around the space.

Important book addressing one of the often overlooked elements of climate action- communicating the problem. I only wish there could have been more focus on actual advice for talking about climate change rather than designating an entire chapter to each emotion that people feel when thinking about it. The tips were mostly confined to the conclusion chapter in bullet point form and seemed a bit like an afterthought. Would still recommend however, provides a new perspective on how to approach the topic with a variety of people.
