Probably more like 3 1/2. This book was good but not as good as some of his other books. I guess I was expecting more from it.

Impressively accurate yet hilariously naive science (just shoot the astronauts out of the biggest cannon ever made, ez), mixed with a satire of Americans that feels spot-on even today.

This was delightful! I didn’t quite know what to expect from this book but was pleasantly surprised by the humour, sense of irony and lightness of it. It was also very interesting to read what Verne already knew about the physics of leaving orbit - 100 years before men made it to the moon.
