I feel so guilty for rating this less than 4 stars. The film's soundtrack is one of my favourites, and the premise is SO promising. I really recommend reading with the soundtrack.

Hodoka is annoying as I remember from the film, incredibly childish. It doesn't help that I listened to this as an audiobook, so he was even more annoying.

It just doesn't live up to Your Name.

even though the movie is exactly the same as the book, somehow the book managed to pack a bigger punch. i will never forget these characters and this story.

Unglaublich gute Adaption.

Is it weird I actually liked the Afterafterword (by RADWIMPS's Yojiro Noda) more than the novel? It helped me understand and come to terms with the ending of the movie, which was what spurred me to read the book to begin with.
