So SLOW! Nothing happens. I’m about 75% through with the book and NOTHING of substance has happened. It’s all just anxious hand wringing
Minor: Infertility, Miscarriage, Stalking, and Pregnancy

This is a hard book to talk about.. partly as it was a very intense and emotional one (definitely check for TW). I found the pacing initially a little slow for a thriller, but got used to that as I read more. The way Lisa Unger writes about grief in this book is unlike pretty much anything I've read, and she hits it spot on. The characters, and their relationships, were believable, although the odd parts seemed a little repetitive.
As always with Unger's writing, it was beautifully written overall, and really heart wrenching in parts. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes slow burns, unreliable narrators, or thrillers with lots of twists and turns in the plot and timelines, but I can see how these things wouldn't suit every reader.
