like the bible for people who are interested in the apollo program, but best enjoyed when you ignore some of the objectionable comments (victim to being a product of its time)
Fascinating account of landing on the moon by the "other" guy, the one left in the command module. He's quite funny too. Really enjoyed this one.
That our country landed on the moon 50 years ago is incredible... more incredible than I realized prior to reading this book!
That the third guy who stayed behind in the command module (Armstrong, Aldrin, and ...???) was a natural-born writer is just... wow!
Great read.

What a fun book. Details about Apollo XI that was so fun to learn about. The author did a great job adding personality and emotion.

An incredibly brilliant look into what it took to become an astronaut, and the involved process of making it to the moon in back. The last chapter is quite reflective on both what was achieved and the hope for the future. It’s incredibly well written, making you feel like you’re there every step of the way. I highly recommend this to anyone with even a modicum of interest in space exploration and the space program!
