Aggressive corny nickname use is a crime. Rich people have problems too is an important moral here

Hmm this book really falls out of the broke and beautiful name given that Abby is running a billion dollar hedge fund company and Russell runs his family construction company and working on a Manhattan job and looking to expand.
But this is close to the Tessa Bailey books I love; Killer Vacation and It Happened One Summer. Russell is great at dirty talk and your classic tall dark and handsome MMC. Love how everyone notices his chest hair lol.
Abby is the wealthy, brilliant Chelsea apartment owner and we finally learn just how ealthy, that she works for her dad at his hedge fund. But he had a nervous breakdown so she's been running the company secretly for weeks. This book is 6 months after Joey's book, where Russell made his pledge that Abby is too good for him so hell "so what's right for her" and let himself be friend zoned. Abby has been oblivious and just thinks of him as her best friend, even sitting on him casually while he's rock hard lol.
Until she's rundown from working nonstop and Russell takes her home one night and they fall asleep on her bed and she wakes up to him with his hands all over her while he's dreaming. He denies his interest in her and treats her like a friend's with benefits while hiding his true feelings. Abby falls for him and is hurt. After their night at her family's Hamptons mansion, Abby is ultimate hurt and never wants to see him again. She goes on to come up with a plan to sell the hedge fund which will see her and her family never needing to work ever again. Finally Russell's brother Alec comes to plead with Abby and they get back together.

I enjoyed this, it was a lot of fun. Steamy, but with actual conversation and character development. My least favourite plot usually is miscommunication though and this book would’ve been 15 pages if they just had a conversation. BUT I like Tessa Bailey and will read more by her.
