gothichorrors's review against another edition

I couldn’t tell you a single thing that I liked about this book. Tessa’s writing usually has me hook, line, and sinker (lol) but I was furious with this from start to finish. The book is a dark romance and not at all what it is advertised as. Russell is an awful love interest and incredibly toxic, and I’m not sure I’ve ever disliked a love interest so strongly before. I couldn’t believe what I was reading the entire time I sat down with this book, and part of me wishes I’d never read it at all.
The main character, Abby, is the only interesting part of this story, and even then she felt rather half baked.
I’m glad to see that Tessa’s books get supremely better after this one, because this was such a let down, and if I’d started with this one, I might have never bothered with the rest.

Aggressive corny nickname use is a crime. Rich people have problems too is an important moral here
