The first book of this series had a lot of promise, however this book fell flat by lack of character development, grammatical errors and a copied story from other fantasy books.

A decent sequel
Not bad overall. I do find myself frustrated with some of the characters but want to know how it ends. There were quite a few grammatical errors that I had hoped would be caught in editing.

I enjoy that storygraph actually lets you rate things 0 stars. If I had a penny for every time this author threw in a random invented beastial creature to put the protagonists (of which there are, like, seven) in peril, I wouldn't be in debt anymore.

Really like Kyra, but ugh...plotwise it's ok but really plodding dialogue.
