Better than the first, but still relied too much on annoying coincidence to further the plot. The mechanisms of their world was explained quite a but, which made the story much more compelling - not sure why it took until the second book to make sense of anything, though.

Stunning illustration - reminded me of OG Sandman. Really evocative of the story and engaging to those experiencing the narrative for the first time.
