*chef's kiss* THE TWIST! I did not see that coming. You know when you really want to find out what's going on so you start super reading, like your best speed read? I read like that this whole last book. I can't praise Eva Ashwood enough, I love her writing. I've read 2 other series by her and she doesn't just retell the same story with new names this one is a different story than the rest. ❤️ Loved. It.

My Rating: ❤️❤️❤️.5

General Thoughts: This series was an enjoyable adventure. It was single POV throughout, when I maybe would have liked to see chapters from other POVs. It is very, very spicy. Lots and lots of spice. So, if that's your jam, then this is for you. I will check out more from the author for sure. Available on KU.

Spice Meter: ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥.5 Very spice and very frequently so.

Amazing

I absolutely loved this series. It was amazing.

Sophie is definitely a strong ass woman who can throw down when she needs to.

It’s sad that her life went the way it did because someone close to her betrayed her essentially.

But when you think about if her life didn’t go this way she wouldn’t have met her sinners and max in the context she did and their relationships wouldn’t be the same or they’d be nonexistent.

So everything in life happens for a reason and the things in her life succeeded in making her stronger.

In all their lives. I absolutely loved all the characters and I’d definitely reread this series and all the others ones I’ve read so far by Eva.

All the ✨

Here’s my favorite quotes from this book

I didn’t think I had anything left in me, but as long as I’m running toward them, I’ll run forever.~Sophie

“He hurt you.” His voice is low and rough. “And I’m going to hurt him.” ~Gray

I’ll never run again.” I hesitate, then add, “I’ve found too many reasons to stay.” ~Sophie

“You are the antidote to my pain, Sparrow,” he murmurs when he withdraws them. His pupils have expanded so wide that only small rings of blue-green still surround them, and his jaw clenches as he steps toward me, closing the small space between us. “You’re everything I’ll ever need. I can’t fucking lose you.” ~Gray

That when the demons of my old life come out to play, the Sinners will be here with me to face them.~Sophie

Their names are Charles and Maria Davenport,” she says. “You’re Sabrina Davenport.” ~Reagan

“There are all kinds of family, Soph. I found a family with Gray and Elias, and you’re part of that now. We’ll always be here to take care of you, and we’ll never betray you. We’re not going to try to change you, and we’ll always be here, no matter what.” ~Declan

But before I can say anything, Declan speaks again. And in four little words, he tops every single thing he’s said previously.
In four little words, he cracks the armor around my heart wide open.
“I love you, Sophie.” ~Sophie and Declan

“I didn’t want to steal Gray’s thunder yesterday since he’s the one who got shot, and I was so fucking glad he was okay. But, Blue? I love you too.”~ Elias

“Besides, we all know you don’t need protecting. You’re a badass bitch and can fight like a fucking hyena.” ~Gray

I finished reading this because I felt like I had come this far to not finish. The plot was good. Kept me intrigued because I wanted to know who was behind everything. However, everything the main character thought about felt so repetitive. Like I get it. You can’t remember stuff. You’ve never felt this way before. To continue bringing up the same thing over and over again really took away from the story for me. Plus I feel like we barely got to see how the relationships grew. It had so much potential but it’s been a long time since I was so happy to finally finish a book.

It got so boring
Predictable plot

I have no idea what happened from the first to this one. Love the 1# in this series, gave it 5 stars, the 2# I thought something was missing and gave it 3 stars, I did enjoy it but was a bit tired, but this one I couldn't pass chapter 18 idk what happened and honestly can't really explain it but just was boring and everything would repeat it self.

It was OK, I was enjoying the plot but at a certain point it hit me how disproportionately Sophie favours Gray. Literally referring to the guys as ‘Gray and the others’, I read quite a lot of RH and it bugs me when it’s so unequal, just keep it as a good story and have one love interest. I would bet Gray appears more than Elias and Declan combined, easily.
