So. Freaking. Adorable.
Ugh!
This story was everything I didn't know I needed today. I laughed so much and let's be honest, "accidental" collaring should be a trope and yes, I want more.

Heart Me Up is the second book in the A Bent Oak, Texas series but can easily be read as standalone.

This book is laugh out loud funny, touching and sweet but doesn't neglect my need for a steamy scene or two! The characters are fun and the banter is excellent! I love the side characters, particularly Foster's partner on the force and the rest of his crew! Well paced and well developed, this is one of those stories where you root for the characters to get their HEA because they both deserve it!

This is the first story I’ve read by this author. I am surprised how much I enjoyed it
Foster is a cop who is involved with family and friends and relationships not so much. When one of his neighbors asks him to check out employment issues at Bark and Purr Pet Resort he finds more than expected. He finds himself dealing with one of the owners Craig. There is instant attraction between these two that takes some doing to get them together. They have friends and family pushing them together yet both are somewhat introverted and its by fate they end up meeting again. There are quite a few secondary issues to this story. There is heat between the main characters. There are tense moments and laughable moments. This story held my interest all the way through. The characters are likable. The secondary characters, I’d like some of their stories. I plan on reading more by this author.
