I keep underestimating this series, forgetting how good it is and how well-written it is. I wish they'd been able to produce successful films / tv series of these but I guess it wasn't to be.

From an ambitious plan to blow up a tanker to a race to avoid capture, this book shows that Marsden is not afraid to deliver devastating storylines and consequences

I wasn't too impressed by this book as I was with the other two. Maybe it was because I didn't think a lot of things happened that fascinated me. Though it was nice to read a bit more and see how they went a little bit more insane.

I do love Ellie, I can really relate to her. However, I didn't really like the moments when she was alone because it really made me miss the others.

The ending of this book left me sad and depressed, but I must say it was also very heroic. Though, I am wondering how things will go further with Ellie and her remaining group of friends.

I don't have many thoughts on these books. They're not amazing, but I'm really interested to see where this story is going overall. It's actually funny because as I was reading this, I was thinking how repetitive it's getting. The kids hide, they decide to go investigate the war some more, they make something go boom. Only the end of this book was a lot different and kind of implied the story is taking a sharp left turn.

I was definitely getting a bit bored of this series, but I'm excited to see where it goes next.

This is YA? The series has taken a darker more delicious turn which would probably be too much for YA these days. A big improvement on an already good series and interested to see if Marsden can keep the momentum going for book 4.
