Fun!
Older protagonist
Lots of witty banter
The world is naturally diverse
Cute romantic moments
I like Buck!
Normally pop culture references would bother me bc they date a book, but the way they were weaved into the story was clever.
The resolution with the bad guys was meh. But I enjoyed everything else enough to continue the series.

Once you manage to get your head around the particular Scottish pronunciation, it's a really enjoyable read. I finished it, and immediately downloaded book two :)

This book was okay. It did not blow me away in any way shape or form, but I did enjoy myself. I enjoyed the Hobgoblin (though not his name) and I enjoyed the magic system (though I do not understand how sigils that don't need human perception to activate, work).

The social commentary was a bit too on the nose for me and there were a surprising amount of sentences, that really felt like inserts from the author instead of thoughts from the character, that really took me out of the story.

Fantastic read

Was so nice being in the world of the Iron Druid again. This series shows great promise and I already want more of Al and his friends. Very interesting spin on Al's role working with the fae.
