This gives new all the nostalgia. With all the new ....what is it called with they redo a show for a new generation. Any who I am not excited for Buffy tho be revamped (yes pun intended). But I am hopeful. I loved it and will be reading more.

This is the PG-13 version of the Buffy Comics. If you want the hearty and witty dialogue and illustration these teen version series are for you.

I little snippet of life, way back from Buffy S1. Quite a melancholy read, actually, knowing all that is to come for these fresh-faced kids, not quite yet aware that the world is on their shoulders and tragedy will be their spice of life.

Ugh. So much badness. Probably perfect for preteens, but fans of Buffy will not be pleased.

I wish Scott Fischer had done the art for this volume rather than just the cover. I loved his cover art but I hated the manga style art they used for the story. It only added to the childishness of the whole volume. I get that it's supposed to be early in the series, and that it's "the high school years", but the vampires trying to fit in with the cool vamps and Buffy second guessing her friends because of a snarky comment is a little too "Buffy if it aired on the Disney channel" for me. Probably won't be continuing with this series.

Very cute, and the artwork is pretty good also.

A very slim graphic novel that doesn't really add a whole lot to the Buffy story. I'm not sure why this would be released now -- it has no relation to the ongoing stories from the Buffy seasons in comic form. Buffy: The High School Years has a manga look to the characters, tells a pretty non-descript story about Buffy, Willow, and Xander, and takes all of about 5 minutes to read. I'm glad I didn't spend money on this -- thank you, public library!

Cute and simple throwback to early Buffy.

I've loved Buffy since the first time and my love will never die. So it was lovely to meet her again, and Xanders and Gilles and Willow of course, before Angel, before Spike (<3) before everything that followed, she is still my favorite slayer of all times.
