I received this book from the publisher to review and really wasn’t sure what to expect, I never read any of Jane Hawkings but after reading this I will defiantly read another book by her.

This book just sucks you into the world Ruth, her journey and her surroundings.

I really enjoyed the world building is was beautiful and vividly described and I couldn’t help feeling like I’m part of it. The story was smooth, easy to follow and very engaging.

The book does however end on a cliffhanger, which makes me look forward to the next book even more.

Some parts were a bit slower than other but over all a great book and I really recommend it.

El libro cuenta una excelente historia de crecimiento. Acompañamos a Ruth durante su niñez entera y también en el inicio de su próxima fase.
Aunque es muy interesante, sentí que algunas partes fueron un poco innecesarias. Además, la manera en la que vendieron este libro hace parecer que la historia va a tener más influencia histórica, y eso me había llamado la atención. Infelizmente, ese no es el enfoque.
Si tuviera que decir cuál es, diría que es crecer y aprender a vivir, aprender a soñar y a luchar.

Esse livro foi incrível de ler!! Foi extremamente prazeroso acompanhar o crescimento de Ruth tanto como pianista quanto como pessoa, ver todas as evoluções e desenvolvimento de cada personagem foi um deleite! Hawking soube muito bem expressar cada sentimento descrito no livro, e até os que eram subentendidos.
