I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I had a few suspicions as to what was going on, the similarities had me thinking it was one thing but I audibly gasped when the twist revealed itself. It was very clever and even tho the thought had crossed my mind early it was squashed by the other ideas circling. I also appreciate seeing a side of DV that is more mental and manipulative and clever as it's not all fists and fury and I think this was well written.

This book was heart wrenching, but beautifully written. I felt so connected to the characters and every bad thing they experienced broke my heart. The way that manipulation was in the book felt so real and you can see it happen to someone you know, but also at times I could feel the manipulation working on the reader as well, which is a tough thing to come to terms with.

It was well written, but the “twist” was more obvious than I thought it would be. I had an inkling only a few chapters in that the guy was the same in both POVs but thought maybe he was living a double life. I felt confident that the two MCs were the same person before I hit the 50% mark. Not really a surprise!
Still it was a fast read and I can’t deny I was captivated and motivated to keep reading.

i found this quite boring until about 65% through and the twist became apparent to me - SUCH a good twist - but i had hoped it would have been a bit more dramatic and violent.

I honestly thought I had the ending figured out from the first chapter. The ending was a big twist and it was so smooth with how the book portrayed the characters. Highly recommend.
