This book is both great & horrible. First of all, it should come with a content warning, because there’s a lot of indirect body shaming & language that may be triggering for EDs.

The Body Book by Cameron Diaz is split into 3 parts; nutrition, fitness, and mind. I found a lot of helpful information in the nutrition chapters. I enjoyed learning more about the foods we eat and how they affect our body. The science makes sense. On the flip side, I found a lot of potentially harmful and outdated sentiments in the last 2 sections. Some of it is truly laughable.. clearly this a celebrity that is very out of touch. There’s one point where she makes this huge deal about her not liking sugar, like she’s the only one in the world who may not like sugary snacks. This book felt very self-serving.
