Right off the bat, no pun intended, this book wasn't that good but was saved by the great artwork by Scot Eaton. His panels were dynamic especially the fight scenes. The story however was pretty generic. Peter Tomasi has written a lot of Batman stories and most better than this. There were far too many pointless fights and Bane sounded dumber than normal (not in intellect but in speechifying). I didn't understand why Scarecrow did what he did as it was against type. The ending was fitting but was also out of nowhere. Overall, a beautiful book to look at but other than that, meh.
I like Bane. He's larger than life, physically and metaphorically. For some reason he seems more real than the other villains. This spinoff of the Forever Evil event was cool because it was mostly about the villains and what they tried to do once they were all free. But the old "there is no honor among thieves" thing happened and they lost out again.
Forever Evil: Arkham War delves into the dark side of Gotham City. This graphic novel is definitely more about the villains than the hero. The story features baddies like Penguin, Man Bat, Mr. Freeze, Scarecrow, Killer Croc, and Bane. It answers the question of what would happen if the villains took over Gotham City and Batman was nowhere to be found. This is a must read for Bane fans. My husband really enjoyed this graphic novel and would like to read more. I would recommend this for adults and older readers because it might be too violent for younger teens.
Probably my least favourite of the spin-off storylines for Forever Evil. I've never been too keen on Batman's villains and I really don't like Bane at all. The last issue was the best. Oh, I did like Cobb and the Talons though.
Wow this was a lot better than I was expecting! I haven’t read many comics about bane so I wasn’t sure if I was gonna like it but it was great! I love bat bane, really cool concept and great execution! Loved the art, loved seeing the huge variety of villains! Overall just a fun time

Interesting concept. Not so interesting layout.
The book seemed a bit choppy, both in storyline and art. Compared to the main story, this was a great let down.
