“Dig to Disaster” seemed awfully dark for a beginner chapter book. A headless demon? My goodness. In spite of that, I enjoyed it. I especially appreciated the bolded sections and the explanations in the back of the book.

Ok. This is a kids pitcher book. See I grew up with the cartoon, but this gives me the same feeling of joy. Stairway To Doom is my favorite Miss Mallard Mystery. The WATER COLOR pitchers are amazing. Now the thing is the modern prints are black and white so I would say get the old ones if you can. They are for sale on amazon after all. If you have a child, or want to see how a writer deals with not being able to murder someone (or use smugglers. Yeah I'm calling you out Hardy Boys) in a mystery. Miss Mallard is a wonderful read.
