Read this when I was nine or so; couldn't sleep for days.

Some stories were good. But most were just too full of dialogue or not written well, probably would have been better as TV episodes.

I thoroughly enjoyed these stories. I could practically hear Rod Serling’s voice narrating certain parts. Each story sucked me in. Some of the stories felt Bradbury-esque. I’ve seen some of the episodes and these did them much more justice. Characters felt more distinguishable, there were more details, and the pacing was better.
The fact that they were related to the show made each story a little formulaic, which is the only reason I brought it down a star. They felt a little pulpy. The plots were unique and entertaining, though. My favorite was the one about the man banished to an asteroid. It legitimately made me think and gave an emotional reaction - I won’t spoil it.
I really enjoyed that this book captured the years it was written. It’s like a time capsule for that period. Some of the science was wrong, sure, but it made it that much more unique.
The Twilight Zone is a masterpiece in itself, and these stories are worth the read.

ONE WORD REVIEW: Amateurish.
VERDICT: DNF (Did Not Finish) at 40% complete. I will not click an actual GR star rating, but ~2 solar units might be fair.
A FEW DETAILS (NO Spoilers):

Someone dug hard to find these stories... as in perhaps they scraped the bottom of the very last trash can in the abandoned Twilight Zone editorial office, and came up with these... attempts.
I gave up at 40% point (8 stories out of 19), having read no story quite worth 2 stars to me. You may enjoy these tales more than I did.

NOTE: GR ratings indicate the previous collection from 2009 ([b:Twilight Zone: 19 Original Stories on the 50th Anniversary|6528962|Twilight Zone 19 Original Stories on the 50th Anniversary|Carol Serling|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1312061509l/6528962._SX50_.jpg|6720963]) may be a bit better than this "MORE Stories from..." collection.

The Twilight Zone is a favorite on its own, so much packed into each little episode. The words on the page add so much more - get inside characters heads a bit more and even some of the descriptions convey Serling's outlook more explicitly (for example, talking about the pilot as fatherly or God-like). It's a surprisingly wonderful treat and supplement to the shows.

Really neat conclusion to the first arc. I like that the style was very faithful to the kind of storytelling that Rod Serling used. I have to admit to trying to figure out just how this was going to be turned on it's head but I surprisingly didn't see the ending coming. And to start the prologue in the epilogue in order to keep it going? Very nice touch. All in all, this was a good start to a new series and I look forward to seeing future issues of this one. :)

Well. See, I was going to read this for the novelty of it but these stories are good. Not just good-because-I-loved-The-Twilight-Zone-as-a-kid, but honestly well-told and surprising and good— like The Twilight Zone I remember.
“The Lonely,” “The Big, Tall Wish” (definitely “The Big, Tall Wish”!) and “Dust” are the best. My dirty secret: I would rather read this again than Hemingway and Raymond Carver.
