Loved the story, hoping the next book in the series is just as good

For an indie authored novel, it was OK. To enjoy it, the reader would probably need to be interested in apocalyptic fiction, and have some knowledge of firearms and survival tactics and gear. Bird needs to keep honing his writing skills, get a good "counseling" editor, and pay more attention to his craft, or people who read his first book won't stick with him.

I really enjoyed this book. Its the typical "get from one place to another (home)" type of story common in the genre, but this is more enjoyable than a lot of others that i have read. learned some new tricks from this author.
