This book was an emotional rollercoaster that completely wrecked me in the best way.
Tristan Caine was everything I love in a character which means cold, deadly, and heartbreakingly loyal. His love for Morana was raw, intense, and absolutely unforgettable.
Their journey was filled with pain, longing, and so many moments that had me holding my breath. But despite everything, fate never truly let them go.
Their love story wasn’t just about passion no, it was about survival, redemption, and finding their way back to each other.
I felt every moment, and I know this story will stay with me for a long time.

ɐɐɐɐɐɥɥɥɥɥɥ *deep breaths* btw I'm gonna keep this short I've already described the MCs in my predator review in a very detailed way. So, now, lemme get into this straight. This Book Is Even Better Than The First One In Every Aspect.

Too many monologues between small scenes. I found myself annoyed and just wanted to get back to the dialogue and story. The book is less than 300 pages and I feel like the author is just using fillers at this point. But the author does know how to build tension and suspense. I was nervous for the mfc for a few chapters. My eyebrows and heart rate went up in some chapters. I even found myself yelling at the characters in my head. If you could see all my annotations to the dialogues and scenes. I love that you can see the character growth and development, even though this book is more serious in the storyline, there’s still the lightheartedness you love to see from these characters. The flirting in this book between Tristan and Morana has me laughing and giggling.

The first few chapters of the book were slow and annoying, but as you keep reading it got more intense with more dialogue and less monologues. The storyline also picked up a lot as well the constant twists that I was prepared for but also not prepared for. The playlist for this book is also top notch and will now be listening to it during all mafia-related books. On to the next book in the series!

Nada que ver con el primer libro. Muuuuuucho mejor 🤗

3'25 stars.

I eat this book in HOURS. Gosh, I enjoyed reading it.

Good plot, good characters, there's communication (mostly Morana, but still), there's comprehension. Do you know how difficult is to find these 2 traits in other books?
