Too many monologues between small scenes. I found myself annoyed and just wanted to get back to the dialogue and story. The book is less than 300 pages and I feel like the author is just using fillers at this point. But the author does know how to build tension and suspense. I was nervous for the mfc for a few chapters. My eyebrows and heart rate went up in some chapters. I even found myself yelling at the characters in my head. If you could see all my annotations to the dialogues and scenes. I love that you can see the character growth and development, even though this book is more serious in the storyline, there’s still the lightheartedness you love to see from these characters. The flirting in this book between Tristan and Morana has me laughing and giggling. 

The first few chapters of the book were slow and annoying, but as you keep reading it got more intense with more dialogue and less monologues. The storyline also picked up a lot as well the constant twists that I was prepared for but also not prepared for. The playlist for this book is also top notch and will now be listening to it during all mafia-related books. On to the next book in the series!

Morana and Tristan have found something in each other that was missing their whole lives, love. This one was definitely better! I liked the overall plot that's continuing throughout the series. I have to say though, I did predicted everything that was going to happen halfway through the book but I still enjoyed it a lot. I love Dante and Morana's dynamic. They're like siblings that actually get along lol, they're cute.

 We got more of Tristan and Morana as well as more descriptions of "blue eyes and the voice of whiskey and sin" 🙄. They are good together and I can see why people like them but I'm sorry, they don't do anything for me. I thought I would like them as a couple more but I'm just indifferent to them as a couple for some reason. I have sympathy for both of them and what they have been through but that's about it.

 Actually I know why. I't's because Tristan doesn't speak that much and something about that irks me lol. I can appreciate a quiet man but he's a bit too quiet for me. The form of communication he prefers is simply staring which is so??? to me. Idk Tristan and Morana just aren't my favorite couple(even though I haven't read about any of the other couples lol)  however, I enjoyed this book very much. I was hooked from start to finish. It was good!

Such an amazing continuation of Tristan and Morana's story! Loved everything but there are some typos that may make reading a little clunky at times.
