Remember big, bad Hawk from book one? Well he takes a front and center role in this book. Payton is at the grocery store, getting ready to go to a party that night with Dani and Macey. Where are they going? Who are they going with? What happens when the girls get where they're going? Things get HAWT pretty quickly with the chemistry between two people in this book. It is funny watching Hawk get to know Payton. What does Hawk do in real life? How did he get the name Hawk? When Payton is going for a girls' night out, what does Hawk do? When they get to Payton's brother's place, how do Dallas and Hawk react to one another and what does Payton realize? Who is the only person there that Hawk does not yet already know? It's funny. Where is Lily's mom? What happened to her? Why is she not in Lily's life? When Jenny shows back up on the scene, what happens? Who has she gotten involved with? What has she 'offered' them? This book was definitely a book I had a hard time putting down when I started it. It was a great read, very intense and I love this series because of how closely this MC is intertwined with the Feds and other Law Enforcement type things. It's really cool to read! You will have to read to see what happens with Lily, Payton, and Alex.

Like my review on the first book this was ho hum. I found this a little better than the 1st one, just because the narrators were better. The female lead was also not as whiny the 1st book.
I found just like the 1st book there was an exciting bit towards the end but it was so short, I would have like the mystery , excitement and suspense to be more through the book.

Things I liked:
- Lily was so stinking cute! I loved all of the moments with her.
- The group of friends was also really great and fun to read about.
Things I didn’t like:
- Payton was so irritating to me. She grated on my nerves a lot and complained so much.
- Alex & Payton’s romance just seemed off to me. I wasn’t very invested in them.
How can you not love a devoted father. And that is exactly what Bad boy biker Hawk is to Lily. He will do anything for his little girl. Lily, is little girl lost in a super market. She is found by Payton who thinks nothing of helping the little girl. Sparks fly but the time isn't right.
Thankfully fate, destiny, the power of love have plans for Hawk and Payton. He will need all his tough guy military vet know how to protect the ones he love. Hawk, Payton, and Lily quickly became some of my favorite characters through out the series and just wait until you start the spinoff series.
The Dogs of Fire maybe a MC genre book, but it is loaded with love, devotion, support, friendship and a emphasis on family, both blood and bike. This makes every book a fantastic read, one that can be enjoyed again and again.

I absolutely loved the story. I really like this author and the way she writes. And although I loved the characters they were exactly the same as in the first book of he series. The two main characters in each of the books seemed to speak and act the same with only a couple variances. It's not going to stop me from reading more but that's why I didn't mark this as five stars.

A great addition to this series. I kinda though that the woman that has a son in Dani's kindergarten class, instead we get Payton(not that that's a bad thing). Payton is kinda a girl after my own heart, unknowingly she is searching for a man who will cherish her but at the same time not let her steam roll him, she get's that in Hawk. Payton has her own 'ideals' on how a relationship should work, though so far this hasn't worked to well for her. Hawk has past demons and a little girl that he raises on his own. When their paths meet it's a bit like a train wreck but Hawk is nothing if not persistent. There relationship takes off fast and they have plenty of hitches along the way especially with the return of Lily's(Hawk's daughter) mother. In the end they all get a well deserved HEA.
Only thing that really got to me with this book is when Payton didn't want to stay in the house when they knew that someone might be after Lily. I get that a girl can get cabin fever but wanting to put your own life and the life of your boyfriends daughter at risk just so you can go see a movie?
This book again has the MC in it, tough again it is a book focused on the characters so we still don't know much about what the MC does.

Another great book in the series, loved Hawk and Payton! Hawk is very Alpha and Payton keeps him on his toes. This book has a great mix of excitement and sweet family scenes. You get to meet more of the MC family. I can't wait for the next book!
