This book captivated me, even though it is quite short. The protagonist's character, in my opinion, needed more development and more reason tolove Miss. Acacia since they literally met when they were 11 pithily, and I also feel they could have developed on the character of Madeline and her background and if so did that lead to her lying to Jack about his heart I also think that a conversation could have easily resolved the conflict but Jacks impulsivity or whatever it did not let that happen so that could have been expanded on more which really would have been more evident if we knew more about Jack other than his love for Acacia which perhaps really was obsession at this point . The thing I love about this book is that the concept and the idea are so interesting original, captivating, and creative it just hooked me. Also, if someone is looking for a sad ending or an ending that lets you come up with your interpretation of what happened next, this would be really good.
