By far and away the best of the new books, and one of my favourites full stop. I laughed, I cried... A fitting end to the series*
*although, in fact, there's one more... The road goes ever on it seems

Not my super favorite, but still quite lovely. Perhaps one thing that led to four stars and not five was that it wasn't read by Armistead Maupin and instead by Kate Mulgrew. I know, this should be equally fabulous, but I just read another audiobook she narrated, and unfortunately she used the same voices - so I had a really had time getting the old book's characters (NOS4A2 for anyone familiar) out of my mind while she's talking about Anna, Brian, Shawna, Michael, Ben, Jake and the gang.
Also, maybe I'd have loved it more if I was a Burning Man fan/devotee?
Still a lovely one and I feel honored to have had a place in the days of Anna Madrigal.

I loved finally getting to know a lot more about Anna’s history. The character had a long, interesting life, and deserved a whole book focused on her. I also enjoyed that we saw a little more of Shawna in this book, as by the time this one is set she’s very grown up and planning her own life.
The depiction of Burning Man was unexpected but equally fascinating. The festival was the perfect backdrop for the many stories in the book to weave together, and I also learned something more about the festival itself.

neat ending to the series i like this more than the netflix adaptation (which is what made me pick up book 1 a couple years ago). anna’s back story suits her more, getting to see old characters like wren, everyone’s ending is wrapped up very nicely even mary anne! overall slay

So nice to meet up with my old friends from the Tales of the City series. I love these books and was so excited to hear that there was a new title. I wasn't disappointed and have to admit I shed a tear or two.

Expected a little more from the purported final book in the series. Even while knowing it is, in fact, NOT the final book in the series. Still, I flew through this, and really enjoyed the journey.

My favorite of the series. Loved learning more of Anna’s back story. This is maybe the only one that made me tear up.

I've enjoyed reading Tales of the City since the early 90s. I appreciate Maupin sharing more of Anna's back story. I highly recommend if you've read the rest of the titles in the series.
