I loved this one! It reminded me a lot of the Necessary Evils series in plot and tone and I dug it.
Much like the NE series as well- I felt like book 1 was a lot “darker” in trauma vs the sophomore book in the series and I’m curious to see where it goes next!
While Shep and Elijah on the outside seem an unusual fit, the way Elijah *felt* safe with Shep when he hadn’t experienced that before just made perfect sense.
I liked this one a lot. The relationship progressed nicely and I loved their absolute openness and honesty and trust in one another. The friend group continues to be a favorite part and I hope one day Charlie gets her HEA.

Definitely crazy, but really unique and I liked it a lot.
Thoughts while reading:
-I don’t understand why he ever let his mother manage him again, but I guess he’s a pleaser and people make those kind of choices all of the time irl
-sweet that Shep would do anything for Elijah and that he studied blow jobs for him
-I felt bad for Shep that his brother alluded to him being a monster and his mom questioned things, hard to live like that, at the same time, it was justified in many ways because their relationship could have turned into something really bad
-definitely messed up that Elijah would want a constant reminder of his abuser on his person
But it really worked in a twisted way! Read on kindle
